More than 3 million Syrians have returned home since the fall of Assad

As Syria’s interim president, Ahmed al-Sharaa, continues his normalization efforts on the international stage – marked on Monday by a visit to the White House and a meeting with Donald Trump – millions of Syrian refugees and internally displaced persons have returned home since the fall of Bashar al-Assad, according to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
